Transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary:

These sliding doors at the bus station in Granada, Spain filled my weary eyes with delight one night two summers ago. The doors define the entrance from the covered drop-off to the two story reception area (if you look beyond the waiting room to the back wall you can see pasted cutouts of “travelers”). When closed the design is broken into four pieces and hardly recognizable as anything but remnants of dirt or decaying art. However, when the doors slide open, to welcome travels to the great city of Granada, the faces of two women appear! Although simple in concept and execution, I have never seen something so clever is so unassuming a place! Bravo, South of Spain, Bravo!
